Strategies for Managing Learning

Self-monitoring refers to regular self-testing, conscious reflection on mistakes made in order not to repeat the same mistakes and the use of materials/means to aid in remembering difficult or easily confused kanji.

Examples

1 I test myself and relearn the kanji I didn’t know

2 I write the kanji I have trouble with in a separate book for easy reference

3 I practise more thoroughly kanji that are easily confused
